Active Shift

Path: Cloud > Settings > Attendance > Shift Details > Active Shift

The Active Shift tab displays all shifts that are currently active and available for employee scheduling, attendance, reports, and related dropdowns.

All timings on this screen are displayed in 24-hour format.

How to Add/Create New Shift Schedule?

Step 1: Login to the Cloud Portal, go to Settings, select Attendance, and open Shift Details,Go to active shifts.

Step 2: Click the + icon at the top right of the Shift Details page to open the Shift Master dialog.

Step 3: Enter the Shift Name, From Time, To Time, select Status from the dropdown and enter the Short Report Name (which will be shown on the shift card).

Step 4: Under Import IN Time Start as, Import IN Time End as, Import OUT Time Start as, and Import OUT Time End as, select the date reference and enter the corresponding time for each.

Step 5: Click Save Details to create the shift, or Close to exit without saving.

Important Note: Shift Name, From Time, To Time, Status, and all four Import Time fields are mandatory.

How to Edit a Shift?

Step 1: Click the Edit (pencil) icon to open the Shift Master dialog pre-filled with the shift's details.

Step 2: Update the required fields and click Save Details to save your changes, or Close to exit without saving.

How to Delete a Shift from Active Shifts?

Step 1: Click the Delete (trash) icon to open the Confirm Deletion dialog.

Step 2: Review the shift name listed and click OK to confirm, or Cancel to exit without deleting.

Step 1: Check the box on each shift card, or use Select All to select every shift, then click Delete Selected.

Step 2: Click on Delete Selected, and review the list of shift names in the Confirm Deletion dialog and click OK to confirm, or Cancel to exit.

How to Mark Active Shifts as Dormant Shifts?

Step 1: Click the Mark as Dormant button to open the confirmation dialog.

Step 2: Review the number of employees assigned and scheduled days shown. Type the Shift Code exactly as displayed to double verify the selected shift and click Confirm, or Cancel to exit.

Important Note: Deleting a shift is permanent and cannot be undone use Mark as Dormant instead to deactivate a shift without losing it. Marking a shift as dormant removes it from all dropdowns, scheduling, and reports, deletes its future schedules, keeps past attendance records unchanged, and is recorded in the Audit Trail. It can be reactivated later from the Dormant Shift tab.

Step 1: Check the box on each shift card, or use Select All to select every shift, then click Mark as Dormant.

Click on Mark as Dormant,

review the list of selected shifts in the confirmation dialog,

type CONFIRM exactly to double verify the selected shifts to be marked as dormant, and click Confirm, or Cancel to exit.

Download Excel

Click Download Excel to export the list of active shifts shown on this tab.

Download Summary Excel

Click the Download (↓) icon next to the + (Add New Shift) icon at the top right of the Shift Details page to download the Master Summary, a consolidated report covering both active and dormant shifts.
