# Clear Tax

### Introduction

This page provides the steps to enable and disable ClearTax integration with Pocket HRMS and file taxes using this integration.

 

**Pre-requisites:**

:heavy\_check\_mark: Admin credentials

:heavy\_check\_mark: User rights

*Note - Kindly contact your Admin/HR for rights if you are not able to perform the steps below.*

 

### Steps:

#### **How to enable ClearTax Integration:**

**Step 1:** Go to the ‘Pocket HRMS Marketplace' by selecting the marketplace icon at the top right corner of the page.

**Step 2:** Select the 'Add' button next to the ClearTax option.

**Step 3:** Click on the ‘Yes’ button on the pop-up. You will receive a notification informing that the record was saved successfully.

#### **How to disable ClearTax Integration:**

**Step 1:** Go to the ‘Pocket HRMS Marketplace' by selecting the marketplace icon at the top right corner of the page.

**Step 2:** Select the 'Remove' button next to the ClearTax option.

**Step 3:** Click on the ‘Yes’ button on the pop-up. You will receive a notification informing that the record was saved successfully.

**How to use ClearTax Integration:**

**Step 1:** Select ‘My Apps’ and then ‘ClearTax’ from the left side menu.

**Step 2:** Select the ‘Assessment Year’. You have 2 options to select Form 16:

* Share automatically from Pocket HRMS: Pocket HRMS will automatically fetch your tax details and send it to ClearTax.
* Upload Form 16 (manually): You need to click on the ‘Browse’ button and upload Form 16 manually. Pocket HRMS will parse the details to ClearTax.

Agree to the ClearTax terms and conditions by checking the box next to it, and click on the ‘Submit’ button to submit your Form 16 to ClearTax.

**Step 3:** You will be redirected to the ClearTax website, where your tax details provided by Pocket HRMS will already be visible. Click on the ‘E-File your Tax Return Now’ button to proceed.

**Step 4:** You need to sign in using either your ClearTax credentials or Google credentials to proceed with income tax filing.
