# July 2026

### **July 2026**

We are thrilled to present our Monthly Update, with enhanced user-friendly tools to elevate your HR experience. Our commitment to innovation and efficiency drives us to bring you seamless updates that transform your HR processes. For the month of **July 2026**, we have the following enhancements.

### **Sticky Header in Monthly Attendance Summary**

The **Monthly Attendance Summary report** now has a sticky header. Employee details and date columns stay visible as you scroll, so you never lose track of which column you are reading in a long report. The sticky header works for both manager and HR views, and the report layout is otherwise unchanged.

### **Absent Status in Half Day Settings**

Attendance now marks an employee **Absent** automatically when their working hours fall below the configured Half Day hours. Earlier, attendance considered only Full Day and Half Day criteria based on the configured working hours. The system now also checks for hours below the Half Day threshold, and the updated status appears consistently across attendance reports. Muster Roll Wizard and Report Wizard are both affected, so your attendance policy is applied without manual correction.

### **Enhanced PMS PDF Report**

The appraisal PDF report has been redesigned into a more structured and complete summary. Role-wise remarks submitted during the appraisal workflow are now clearly displayed, and ratings, scores and numerical appraisal data are presented in a more organised layout. Employee performance details are easier to review and compare across appraisal stages. The new format is available to all users with access to appraisal reports.

<figure><img src="/files/S23MljuxgDM9hYVt0nMq" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### **Detailed Appraisal Status in PMS**

Appraisal status now shows the exact pending level in the workflow instead of only Yet to Be Submitted, Manager Review and Completed. You will see statuses such as **Employee Pending**, **Manager 1 Pending**, **Manager 2 Pending** and any further manager levels you have configured, along with the latest completed remarks. Action buttons change with the stage: submitted appraisals show **View Details**, and appraisals awaiting manager action show **Evaluate**. The same status information appears across appraisal reports.

### **People Connect and Dashboard Attendance Settings**

You can now configure whether the **Team Attendance** card, the **People Connect** card, or both appear on the ESS dashboard. With only Team Attendance active, the card shows attendance data for team members only. With only People Connect active, the card appears without any attendance data. With both active, Team Attendance follows its own configuration while People Connect shows employees by All, Business Unit or Category. If both settings are inactive, no card is displayed.

### **Manager Contact Details in Approval Matrix**

Hovering over a manager's name in the Approval Matrix now shows their official email ID and registered phone number. HR and Admin users can check contact details instantly, without opening the manager's employee profile separately. The hover view is available within Approval Matrix details on the employee profile, which helps when verifying reporting hierarchies during approval setup.

### **First-Time Login Consent for ESS Portal**

You can now require employees to acknowledge a consent message the first time they log in to the ESS Portal. The pop-up can carry a pre-configured acknowledgement message, attached documents, or both, and employees must scroll through the complete content before the **Proceed** option becomes available. Until the acknowledgement is completed, employees cannot use the ESS Portal.

### **First-Time Login Consent for Career Portal**

The same first-time consent acknowledgement can be configured for candidates logging in to the Career Portal. Candidates see a pre-configured acknowledgement message with any attached documents, and must scroll through the complete content before proceeding. The **Proceed** option becomes available only after the consent has been reviewed, and until it is acknowledged, candidates cannot use the Career Portal.

### **Bulk Resume Parsing with smHRt AI**

Recruiters can now upload and parse several resumes at once instead of adding candidates one by one. The system reads each resume and displays the captured details for review; fields that cannot be read stay blank and must be filled in before upload, and the wizard flags duplicate details that match existing candidate records. You can start the process from the Candidate Master by selecting the jobs to add candidates to, or directly from a job by adding candidates through resume upload.

### **Candidate Profile Completion on Career Portal**

A centralised **My Profile** section on the Career Portal lets candidates complete and manage their profile even before applying to any job, and it updates automatically from details entered while applying. The section shows real-time completion status based on the fields filled across the whole profile, with an overall completion percentage and section-wise percentages so candidates can identify and finish whatever is still pending.

### **Candidate Profile Completion Status in ESS**

The same profile completion wizard has been added to the Candidate Profile in ESS for HR and recruiter users. You can see how much of a candidate's profile is complete and which sections are still incomplete and need updating, without switching to the Career Portal. The completion status stays synced directly with the candidate's own profile information.

### **My Documents Section on Career Portal**

A centralised **My Documents** section on the Career Portal lets candidates submit and manage requested documents, either before applying to any job or when HR requests them. It works in the same way as the centralised My Profile section. Documents uploaded here are shared across all of that candidate's job applications, so the same document does not have to be uploaded again for every job.

### **Candidate Documents in ESS**

A similar centralised documents section has been added to the Candidate Profile in ESS for HR and recruiter users. You can view and manage candidate documents, request specific documents that have not been submitted yet, and review submitted documents to mark them approved or rejected. Rejected documents can be re-requested from the candidate, and the same uploads can be reused for the Background Verification process.

### **Job Stage Configuration and Initiate BGV Trigger**

The Job Stage Template screen in Recruitment V2 has been redesigned from a horizontally stacked layout into a cleaner vertical workflow view, making the full hiring pipeline easier to see while you configure it. Adding stages and sub-stages is simpler through the new stage pipeline interface, and workflow automation triggers can be set directly within each stage, with stages, sub-stages and triggers all visible together. A new **Initiate BGV** trigger starts Background Verification when a candidate reaches the configured stage.

### **Background Verification (BGV) with Multiple Rounds**

Background Verification can now be run inside Pocket HRMS, started directly from the Candidate Profile. A six-step wizard covers Identity & Address Verification, Education Verification, Employment History Verification, Professional Reference Check, Criminal Record Check and Additional Check. Each stage must be marked complete, with a completion remark and a supporting document, before the overall BGV can be completed. Documents can be picked from the candidate's existing Documents section or uploaded during verification. Multiple rounds can be run for the same candidate and are tracked separately, with only one BGV active at a time.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.pockethrms.com/product-updates/updates-2026/july-2026.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
