π©November 2025
We are thrilled to present our Monthly Update, with enhanced user-friendly tools to elevate your HR experience. Our commitment to innovation and efficiency drives us to bring you seamless updates that transform your HR processes. For the month of November 2025, we have the following enhancements.
1. Out-Time based Leave Deduction
A new enhancement allows leave deduction based on the employeeβs Out-Time range for each shift. This is configured through the Go Rule Engine, where different deduction rules can be set per shift.
Based on the defined Out-Time windows, the system will auto-apply Full-Day or Half-Day Leave. If the employee has already used their permission limit, the deduction will move to Half-Day as configured. Out-Times beyond shift end will not trigger any deduction.
This provides shift-wise flexibility and accurate attendance handling.
Example β Morning Shift (09:00 to 17:30):
Out Time Range
System Action
09:00 AM β 12:59 PM
Full-Day Leave Deducted
13:00 PM β 17:29 PM
Half-Day Leave Deducted
After 17:30 PM
No Deduction
2. Priority-based Leave Application
A new Leave Consideration Matrix decides the order in which employees can apply for leave. Based on the priority configured in the Go Rule Engine, the system will automatically allow only the highest-priority leave type with available balance. Lower-priority leave types will be disabled and shown in grey. Leave types not covered in the matrix will continue to work as usual.
Current validations like βLeave limit exceededβ and non-priority confirmation pop-ups remain the same. This enhancement ensures policy-based leave usage and a smoother experience on both ESS and Mobile App.
3. Allowance via Go Rule Engine
The Allowance feature now supports client-specific rules through the Go Rule Engine. Clients can share their allowance policies, and the Pocket HRMS team will configure the rules accordingly.
Below are examples of how different allowance types can be set up:
4. Punctuality Pay via Go Rule configuration
A new Punctuality Pay feature allows companies to give monthly incentives for regular and on-time attendance. The Pocket HRMS team will configure it through the Go Rule Engine based on the clientβs policy. The system checks punctuality for the full L&A cycle, allows limited grace time and permissions, and stops the pay-out if any leave, deduction, on-duty entry, or early exit occurs.
5. PMS UI Enhancements
a) Improved Employee Search
Employee Search has been improved across all PMS screens to correctly detect and match Employee Code and Name, similar to the updated behaviour in the Weekly Off screen under Leave Settings.
b) Parameter Refresh Enhancement
Earlier, the screen refreshed after every add or edit, which interrupted the process. Now the screen refreshes if you search for different employees, allowing users to add or edit multiple parameters without reloads.
c) Parameter & Question Progress
A new Stage-wise and Employee-wise Progress widget has been added to show:
Employees Not Yet Started
Employees Partially Completed
Employees Fully Completed
The widget lets users jump directly between Questions and Parameters and shows how many employees still have pending parameters, helping HR track and close appraisals faster.

d) Consolidated Appraisal Import
All appraisal import options are now combined under one menu called **βAppraisal Import.β**Users can select the required template from a dropdown instead of using multiple separate import menus.
e) Re-Grouping Approval Menu
Earlier, all approval options were shown under the Request section in ESS. Now, based on the userβs role (Manager/Admin), the related appraisal approval options appear under the Approval section, making navigation cleaner and more organised.
f) New ESS Status Labels
The ESS action button now changes based on the appraisal status:β’ For Up for review, it shows Add ratingβ’ For Yet to be submitted, it shows View details
This gives clearer next steps for the manager.
6. Auto PMS Driven Increment percent
The increment percentage is auto-calculated from the Go Rule Engine based on Final Score, Department, or Business Unit. The Admin starts the cycle, the Manager reviews and confirms the percentage, and final approval stays with the Admin. If re-submitted, the Admin can revise the percentage and resend the flow.
7. FnF β All Departments Acceptance Notification
A new event has been added in Exit Notification Settings. The system will now send an email once FnF No Dues is approved by all Department Heads, making it easier for HR to proceed with final clearance.

8. Custom Fields in Emails Templates
HR can now add custom Job and Candidate fields in recruitment email templates. Two new placeholder sections let HR drag and drop these custom fields into email templates and attachments.
9. Corrective Increment
Three new automation fieldsβIncrement %, Increment, and Correctionβhave been added along with a Recalculate button for instant percentage-based calculation. The system now applies the percentage to eligible components, updates new values, and auto-splits the difference between Increment and Correction.
This replaces the earlier manual updates and ensures accurate and consistent salary revisions. HR now gets a clear post-save view and an updated Increment Register with Increment and Adjustment Summary, making the process faster, error-free, and easier to control.
