# Ptax Range
### 1. How to add state in Professional Tax (Ptax) list?
The states have already been present in the system, where you get the edit option to add the tax range as required. Whereas to add new state, please connect to our support team on chat.
**However, you can edit the Ptax range in the states present in the system. Please follow the process below to know the process to edit Ptax range:**
### How to Edit/Change Ptax Range?
**Path:** Cloud Login > Settings > Payroll > Ptax Range > Click on edit button of the state > Edit the field > Save.
Step 1: Login to the cloud portal, go to the ‘Settings’ menu, and select ‘Payroll’ tab.
**Step 2:** Select ‘Ptax Range’ option and click on the ‘Edit button’ of the respective state.
**Step 3:** Make the necessary changes and click on ‘save’.
