1. How to transfer employee from one company to another?
You cannot directly transfer employee from one company to another. You can separate employee from their current company and then add the employee in the other company.
Note: This process may lead some data loss such as, attendance data, leave data, approval matrix data and more.

2. Why is employee unable to punch when the employee tagging has been already done?
If the Geo-location has been set and the employee tagging is done and employee is still unable to register his punch, you need to check the following factors.
Correct location is added in the geo-location setting
Employee is tagged to the geo-location
If you did the above settings please tell employee to log out and log in to the ESS portal again.

The profile photo cannot be uploaded for employees in bulk. You need to add/change/edit the profile photo for the individual employee.

5. How to add new name/new joinee/new joiner/new employee as an approver/manager/approval level in approval matrix?
How to add new name/new joinee/new joiner/new employee as manager/approver or how to give them approval rights for certain module?
In case, you want to add a new employee as a manager and give them approval rights for certain modules please ensure the factors below.
Assign the self-service role as manager to new employee ‘A’
Add ‘A’ as manager under approval matrix for the employee ‘B’
In other words, let’s say the ‘A’ is the newly joined employee and you want to give ‘A’ approval rights for certain modules. And also want to add ‘A’ as a manager at certain level for the pre-existing employee ‘B’.

6. Why is the leave debit not reflected in in employee profile in cloud or in employee ESS login?
To display the leave in the employee's attendance record, it must be added as a leave entry. The leave debit function is solely used to deduct the available leave balance from the records and it does not reflect in the employee's attendance.

Ensure the following factors to add new employee’s data for in and out details.
Add employee and the employee code will be created
Activate punch for employee if they are supposed to punch from ESS app
Add employee to the location if required
Assign shift to employee
Assign week-off to employee if your week off setting is employee wise
If the employee is supposed to punch from biometric attendance machine, tag them to the biometric device.
Once you take care of all the above factors run in and out import. Check if attendance is visible in employee’s in/out details

After adding/creating the employee code for onboarding the new employee follow or check below steps 1) Check if the DOJ (Date of Joining) is correct
2) Add shift for the new employee
3) If attendance is marked through the app, enable the employee's active punch button.
4) Map the employee to the device enrolment number if attendance is done through a device.

16. What to Do if after Running Time Consolidation, the LOP or Absent is not Marked?
While running time consolidation for all employees, if LOP or absence is not marked for a single employee, please check the following points: 1 Ensure the employee has not punched attendance on the dates in question. 2 Verify that the leave deduction rule is applied for the shift assigned to the employee. 3 After confirming the above points, delete the time consolidation record for that employee and run the process again.
