We are thrilled to present our Monthly Update, with enhanced user-friendly tools to elevate your HR experience. Our commitment to innovation and efficiency drives us to bring you seamless updates that transform your HR processes. For the months of October & November, we have the following enhancements.
Comp Off Leave, Now with a Deadline!
Admins can now restrict employees from applying for Comp Off leave after a specific timeframe from the Comp Off date. That ensures policy compliance and prevents misuse of leave.
For example, If the Comp Off date is 13th September and the limit is 30 days, leave can only be applied between 13th September and 12th October. Requests outside this range will be denied.
Turn OT Hours into Time Off Seamlessly
Introducing configurations to consider OT hours as Comp Off for week offs/holidays. Simply, define OT hour ranges and their corresponding Comp Off counts and system will automatically credit Comp off accordingly. There is no minimum hour limit giving you greater flexibility and saving a ton of time.
Revolutionizing Consecutive Leave Management
With this release, we introduce the following improvements to consecutive leave policies:
Employees cannot take consecutive leave days without a break. Promotes balanced leave utilization and appropriate rest periods.
Week offs and holidays are excluded from consecutive leave calculations. Providing flexibility by not penalizing leaves around company holidays or regular time off.
The system restricts consecutive usage of the same leave type. Encouraging varied leave usage and identifying potential attendance concerns. These enhancements allow transparent leave administration, supporting employee well-being and operational efficiency.
Bell Curve Flexibility: Tailor Your Appraisal Process
The Appraisal module has been enhanced to provide greater flexibility and configuration options for the Bell Curve functionality.
Users can select ‘Scale’ with a default range of 1-5 or ‘Weightage’ which displays the Grade % as the rating type for appraisals.
The graph dynamically updates based on the first three values entered. Users can display either Rating Scale or Grade % in the first column. Strict validation ensures the first three values are in ascending order, with the total Expected % equaling 100%.
The Rating Normalization screen will now adapt its columns based on the selected rating type (Scale or Grade %). Normalization calculations align with the chosen configuration. An additional "Count to be Normalized" column provides further insights.
Now, you can get Department and shift-wise headcount reports with details such as the number of employees present on the current day based on the employee punches. You can also export a list of the present and absent employees by selecting a business unit.
HR can now configure learning certificates more easily by selecting a learning template and mapping fields directly into the certificates. This ensures all key details about the learning program are included. The Learning fields are as follows:
Learning Code
Learning Name
Duration
Start Date
End Date
Completion Date
Learning Head
HR can now make modes mandatory for specific expense types with a simple toggle key. Once activated, if the employee chooses no mode, the system will block expense submissions on the ESS portal. This will streamline the process and increase efficiency in expense management.
Our latest UX improvement allows managers to select or deselect individual expense entries as needed. They are no longer restricted to either approve or reject the entry. Now, managers can choose not to take action on specific entries allowing greater flexibility and control.
The new travel enhancement lets you add finance approval to travel advance requests. When enabled, all requests need finance approval. The final amounts for travel advances and reimbursements can also edited during finance approval. Plus, an approval note or disclaimer can be added to the approval pages through the travel configuration settings.
The category transfer feature is now improved further with visibility of the past transfers. Enabling to easily track all the previous changes.
A filter has been added to the HR Separation Approval page where the HR can filter out the entries based on the combination of the filters defined making it even easier to sort the data and take action on the same.
A filter has been added to the Exit Tracker report where the HR can further filter out the entries based on the combination of the filters defined making it even easier to sort the data.
The Exit Interview Form has been improved with a panel-wise layout, making it easier for employees to fill out by organizing the questions in a clear, structured format.
The e-POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) module is now available on web and mobile. It allows female employees to report sexual harassment incidents at the workplace, either for themselves or co-workers, with an option to keep their identity anonymous. A Complaint Committee can be set up, including a Committee Head and members, who can monitor and take necessary actions through the ESS portal.
A new filter is added to the FnF Department Head Manager page, allowing you to filter entries by department. This makes it easier to manage and view information by department. The department name is now also displayed in the entries.
Now the Last Working Date is shown to the HR while approving the separation entries based on the notice period, the employee's request, and the manager's approval. This enables HR to take quick and informed decision.
The employee report in helpdesk has been enhanced by adding columns like:
Response Received: Shows when the first response was received after the ticket was created.
Last Updated by (Code and Name): Displays who last updated the ticket.
Last Updated Date and Time: Shows when the ticket was last updated.
Providing comprehensive overview
Admins and HRs can now copy form templates from one company to another within the same login. Multiple forms from a single module can be copied to several companies at once. For Exit Management and AccessForm modules, if the target company already has a form, the system will notify the user. This update significantly reduces manual effort in creating the same forms for different companies.
Admins/HR can now use smHRt AI to easily generate the CTC Template and Annexure Table, or just the Annexure Table. The generated template can be edited, allowing changes to properties like font style, size, and headings.
Now the employees who are on their notice period will be able to see their Last Working Date on their ESS and Mobile Dashboard.
