Step 1: Go to the ESS portal login page and click on the ‘Forgot Password' link.
Step 2: Enter the ‘Company Code’ and ‘Employee Code’ and click on the ‘Forgot Password’ button.
Step 3: The password reset email will be sent to the employee’s email id. Click on the password reset link as shown below.
Step 4: The link will redirect you to 'Change Password' page, where you can set your new password.
Step 1: Log into the ESS portal and click on the 'Profile' menu and then, click on ‘My Tax Detail’ sub-menu.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Tax Declaration Entry’ tab. Select the ‘Click here to enter Rent paid details’ button to update the monthly amount paid as rent for House Rent allowance exemption.
Step 3: Enter the details in the pop-up window and click the ‘Save & Close' button.
Note: For Metro cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai, please enter the rent amount paid under the ‘Metro Rent Paid’ column. For cities other than those mentioned above, please update the details under the ‘Non-Metro Rent Amount’ column.
Step 4: Select the ‘Click here to enter Landlord details for form 12BB’ button to enter the Landlord details.
Note: If the House Rent value exceeds the amount of 1 lakh INR, it's mandatory to fill the landlord details.
Step 5: Enter the necessary details in the ‘Landlord Details’ pop-up and click on the ‘Save’ button.
Step 6: To enter details about the Interest on Housing loan, click on the ‘Click here to Enter Property Details’ button.
Step 7: Click on the ‘Save & Close' button after entering the relevant details.
Step 8: Select the ‘Click here to Enter Lender Details' button as shown below.
Step 9: Enter the relevant details and click on the ‘Save’ button.
Step 10: Click on the ‘TDS Proof Entry’ tab.
Step 11: Click on the ‘Upload’ button against the relevant expenses to upload their proof.
Step 12: Upload the relevant file for the proof and click on the 'Save' button.

Step 1: Log in to the ESS portal and click on the ‘User Icon’ on the top right corner of the screen and click on the ‘Change Password’ from the drop-down menu.
Step 2: Fill in the ‘Old Password’ and the ‘New Password’ in the respective fields. Confirm the new password by re-entering the new password in the ‘Confirm Password’ field and click on the ‘Change Password’ button.

Step 1: Log into the cloud portal, go to the ‘ESS Settings’ menu and under the ‘Profile Info’ tab and scroll down to click on the ‘Role Allocation’ subtab.
Step 2: From the ‘Select Module’, ‘Select Role’ from the respective dropdown and click on the ‘Save’ button.
For example, We select module as ‘Expense’ and role as ‘User’.
Step 3: Check the boxes for various features for which you want to give access to the respective role and click on the save button. The access to selected module and features will be given to the employees in the particular role and it be visible to them in the ESS.
For example, We give access to Request, Claim Entry to the employees in the ‘User’ role.
Repeat the process for various roles to provide access to employees according to you company policies.
Note: Once you did provide an access, ask employees to log out and login the their ESS.

To change employee location, you need to follow 2 steps
A. Un-map employee from current location
B. Tag employee to new location
Step 1: Log into the cloud portal, go to the ‘ESS Settings’ and under the ‘Profile Info’ tab scroll-down to select ‘Geolocation Employee Tagging’ subtab.
Step 2: From the drop down ‘Select Location’ for which the employee is tagged. and all the employees with geo-tagging for that location will appear. Deselect the checkbox for the employee whose location you want to change and click on the ‘Save’ button.

Step 1: Log into the cloud portal, go to the ‘ESS Settings’ and under the ‘Profile Info’ tab click on the ‘Geo Location Tagging’ subtab.
Step 2: From the dropdown ‘Select Setting’ choose the new location. Select the employee for whom you want to tag to the new location and click on the ‘Save’ button.
Geo tagging/Geo location for the employee will be changed.
Note: If the required geo location is not set in the system, please add the new location under Geolocation Setting.

You can also change the existing geo location, punch in location or attendance location for employee.
To tag geo location to employee you need to follow in 2 stages.
A. Add Geo Location
Step 1: Log into the cloud portal and go to the ‘ESS Settings’ menu. Under the ‘Profile Info’ tab click on the ‘Geolocation Setting’ subtab and click on the ‘+’ icon towards the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
Step 2: The ‘Business Unit’ are auto-fetched, enter the required details such as Radius (in meters), Location Name, Longitude, Latitude and click on the ‘Save’ button and the geo location will be added. The next you can proceed to tag the location for the employee.
Note: The minimum distance for the 'Radius (in meters)' should be 200m.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Manager Approval’ tab and from the ‘Module’ field select ‘Selfservice Permission From To’ option. Select the date range from the respective fields and click on the ‘Search’ button. Employee’s permission requests will appear.
Step 3: Select the radio button from the ‘Approve’ or ‘Reject’ columns for the respective requests and click on the ‘Save’ button. The request will be approved or rejected accordingly.

Step 1: Log into the ESS portal with manager credentials, go to the ‘Profile’ menu and click on the ‘Approval’ submenu.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Manager Approval’ tab and from the ‘Module’ field select ‘Selfservice Permission From To’ option. Select the date range from the respective fields and click on the ‘Search’ button. Employee’s permission requests will appear.
Step 3: Select the radio button from the ‘Reject’ columns for the respective requests and click on the ‘Save’ button. The request will be rejected.

If the Permission/short leave/hour to hour leave is approved from manager it can be revoked from the cloud portal.
Step 1: Log into cloud portal, go to the ‘Employee’ menu and click on the ‘Employee List’ submenu.
Step 2: Select the employee for whom you want to revoke or cancel the permission request.
Step 3: Under the ‘Attendance’ tab click on the ‘Permission Entry’ subtab. Click on the ‘Delete’ button for the permission leave you want to revoke and the entry will be deleted.

Step 1: Log into the ESS portal, go to the ‘Profile’ menu and click on the ‘My Profile’ submenu.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Personal Details’ tab, in the field ‘Correspondence Address' field, you can view the correspondence address. You can make the required changes and click on the ‘Save’ button and the changes will be saved accordingly.
