We are thrilled to present our Monthly Update, with enhanced user-friendly tools to elevate your HR experience. Our commitment to innovation and efficiency drives us to bring you seamless updates that transform your HR processes. For the month of March, we have the following enhancements.
We’ve added a new ‘Show/Hide Summary’ checkbox in the In-Out Details report. When turned on, it shows a clear summary of key attendance data like:
Total working hours
Leaves taken
Late arrivals and more
The summary changes automatically based on the date range and what you’re viewing—whether it’s one employee, a team, or multiple employees. It helps you understand the numbers better and tooltips are available with extra info for each metric.
We've improved the leave deduction system to allow for more flexible options. Now, leave can be deducted in smaller incremental portions, 0.25 or 0.75 days based on your company’s leave policy. This update helps ensure leave records are more accurate and better aligned with your organization’s rules. It also works smoothly with attendance and payroll systems, so everything stays in sync.
Now user can apply on-duty for multiple dates and also choose the Day Type for each selected date in one go. Based on this, the system will automatically pick the right shift timings.
In addition to that for Night Shifts, there’s a new option to set whether the ‘To Time’ should be considered for the same date or the next day. This gives you more control over how night shifts are managed and saves you time and effort.
Now through ‘Order Number’ field, you can set appraisal questions in specific order to be shown in ESS Portal. This makes the appraisal process more organized and easier to follow.
You can assign order numbers while uploading questions in bulk, and the system will keep everything in the right order automatically.
This enhancement ensures that attendance punches are accurately captured and assigned to the most appropriate shift, while also incorporating flag-based punch recognition for improved attendance management.
Smarter Auto-Shift Assignment
When a punch doesn’t match any shift, the system now uses reverse logic to assign the most suitable one.
It checks shifts in order and assigns the first one where punch time is before the shift’s start time.
This works regardless of the existing auto shift detection settings.
For Example:
Punch is at 14:43
Shift A- (08:00–10:00): Punch is after → skipped
Shift B- (20:00–23:00): Punch is before → Shift B → assigned
Improved Accuracy with Flag-Based Punches
Instead of just using the first IN and last OUT, the system now reads flag data from punches. This helps in more accurate shift mapping and reporting.
Better In-Out Punch Import
Once a shift is assigned, the system records the actual punch time as IN, even if it’s outside the shift range.
OUT time is calculated based on the assigned shift’s logic.
For Example: (continuing the above example)
Assigned shift is ‘Shift B’
IN punch: 14:13 → Recorded as IN
OUT: 08:07 AM (based on shift logic)
Earlier, users had to delete Appraisal Parameters and Questions one by one, which took a lot of time. Now, with our new bulk delete option, users can select and delete multiple Appraisal Parameters and Questions items at once. This improves efficiency by making the process faster and much easier.
Now the news updates will be displayed in the pop-up window, so employees won’t miss them in the ESS portal. That ensures that employee gets the updates instantly. Admins can check and select the news items as well as control how and when the news is shown through the settings from the cloud portal. Ensuring that the news is delivered to employees appropriately.
Previously, employees couldn’t upload files in the consent settings. Now, we’ve added a file upload feature. This lets employees view the attached document before giving their acknowledgement on the ESS portal.
The Approval Matrix Manager screen has been updated with some helpful new features that give all the relevant information at a glance
Created Date: You can now see when each approval entry was added, making it easier to track them.
Module Name: Each entry now shows which module it belongs to, like Attendance Regularization, Daily Working Hours, or Earning Deduction, so it's clearer.
Company Info: Shows if an approver is from the same company or a different one, helping you understand the workflow better.
Search & Filter: A search bar lets you quickly find entries by employee name, module, or priority.
Action Buttons: You can now easily add, export, or delete entries with the new buttons, making the tool more user-friendly.
A new feature lets administrators choose specific employees and the types of emails to exclude them from. In other words, which employees should not receive certain email notifications. Admins can configure multiple exclusion rules, based on employee’s role, department and specific needs. This helps HR teams send the right messages to the right people, keeping communication focused and relevant.
Now can can filter finance reports more easily with the new employee-based filter options and export this information. Here is how you can do that.
Choose key employee information: Bank Account Number, Blood Group, Branch, Category, Employee ID, Cost Centre, Department and Designation.
Set your own filter rules: Use AND/OR conditions to combine filters. Also, you can add multiple filters easily with the ‘Insert Row’ option.
Export Your Data: Search, view, and export the filtered results to Excel.
Multiple new reminder events have been added to the Exit Notification Settings. Employees will now get automatic email alerts for each event. Admins and HRs can also set up email notifications for others involved—like Managers, HRs, and Department Heads—making the exit process smoother and more organized.
