Pocket HRMS makes the performance management experience seamless for both employees and the manager with simple steps.

Appraisal Module

In Pocket HRMS we are offering a Performance Management System. This module will allow you to do a performance review of your employees.

We can set performance reviews of the employees- on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and on annual basis.

The appraisal process can be set to 90 degrees, 180 degrees, and 360 degrees by the employer.

  • 90 degrees means the manager will rate the employees

  • 180 degrees means the employee will rate himself and the manager will rate the employee

  • 360 degrees means the employee will rate himself, the manager will rate the employee and peers will also rate the employee.

We can set up the appraisal process in two different ways in Pocket HRMS.

1. You can have a predefined set of parameters and questions on which employees and managers can provide ratings.

2. You can also allow employees to set their own KPI which needs to be approved by the manager so that the employee and the manager can provide ratings for the same.

Configuration of the Appraisal Module in Pocket HRMS

We can do the basic configuration by following the steps below.

Step 1: Select the ‘Settings’ menu in the cloud portal

Step 2: Click on ‘Appraisal V2’ from the top menu and then select ‘Appraisal Configuration’ from the left-hand side menu.

Step 3: Set the configuration as explained below:

A) Select the ‘Business Unit’ from the drop-down as Category, Department, or Designation.

  • You can also ask for a customized option.

  • Setting ‘Company Id’ means the same Appraisal will be set for all employees in the company.

B) Choose the Start date and End date as the requirement.

C) Select a value for ‘Completed Month’

  • The value ‘Completed Month’ allows you to decide the employment months that an employee has to complete for being eligible for the appraisal.

D) Select whether the ‘Rating’ is to be set for ‘Scale’ or for ‘Weightage’

E) Set ‘Final Rating Option’ as per your requirement

F) You can select the parallel review option as ‘True’ or ‘False’.

G) ‘Peer expiry days’ can be set as per requirement.

H) You can set ‘Dynamic Flow’ if employees want to set their own KPIs. The flow will go for their manager’s approval.

I) Set the criteria that the employee ‘Eligibility Based On’ according to company policy and requirements.

Settings by Admin or HR in Appraisal Module

Admin can add the different appraisal stages in Pocket HRMS.

Different appraisal cycles can be set under ‘Appraisal Stages’ such as, monthly, half-yearly, quarterly, and annual.

Path: In the ‘Appraisal’ module click on the ‘Appraisal V2’ and select the ‘Appraisal Stages’. Fill in the required fields and click on the ‘Save’ button.

Note: Select 'Yes' from the 'IsActive' field so that employees will be able to submit their review from their ESS portal. If you select 'No', employees won't be able to submit their review for the appraisal.

Setting Appraisal Parameters

Path: In the ‘Settings’ module, select the ‘Appraisal V2’ menu and click on ‘Appraisal Parameter’.

Here you can set multiple parameters with a total weightage of 100.

Setting Appraisal Questions

Path: Go to the ‘Settings’ module, select the ‘Appraisal V2’ menu, and click on ‘Appraisal Questions’.

Fill in the details in the required fields to add questions.
