# Declaration Activation
### 1. How to deactivate or close income tax declaration window for employees?
**Step 1**: Log into the cloud portal, go to the ‘ESS Settings’ menu. Under the ‘Profile Info’ tab click on the ‘Declaration Activation’ subtab.
**Step 2**: Unselect the respective checkboxes for individual employees for whom you want to deactivate income tax declaration window. Click on the ‘Save’ button and income tax declaration window will be closed accordingly.
**Note**: You can also unselect the ‘Check’ box at the top to deselect all the employees.
