1. How to apply for leave through the ESS portal?

Step 1: Log into the ESS portal and click on the 'Leave’ menu and then on the ’Request’ submenu.

Step 2: Select the ‘Leave’ tab.

Step 3: Enter the relevant information in the fields and click on the ‘Add’ button. Verify the details and click on the 'Confirm Leave' button.

2. How to submit a request for attendance regularization?

Step 1: Log into the ESS portal and click on the 'Leave’ menu and then on the ’Request’ submenu.

Step 2: Click on the 'Attendance Regularization' tab and enter the range of dates and click on the 'Search' button. Click the 'Update' button against the entry you want to regularize.

Step 3: Update the time in the 'Attendance Regularization Update' pop-up window along with 'Remark' and click the 'Save' button to submit the request.

3. How to generate geo-fencing report?

Step 1: Log into the ESS portal click on the ‘Leave’ menu and then the ‘Employee Report ’submenu.

Step 2: You have to click on the ‘More’ to reveal undisplayed tabs. Once you view additional tabs click on the ‘Punch App Location’ tab.

Step 3: Select the required date range, click on the ‘Search’ button and the results will be visible. Click on the ‘Download Excel’ button and the geo-fencing report will be downloaded.

Step 4: If you want to download geo-fencing for a single employee, use ‘Select Employee’ field to select the employee and click on the search button to view the results. Click on the download button and the geo-fencing report will be downloaded for a single employee.

4. How to a cancel leave request from the ESS mobile app?

You can cancel your previous leave application through the ESS mobile app if the payroll for that month hasn't been processed yet. Even if your leave request has been approved, you can still cancel it. Your leave balance will be restored, and the leave request will be removed.

Step 1: Log into the ESS mobile app and go to the menu. Under the ‘Leave’ menu, click on the ‘Request’ submenu.

Step 2: Go to the ‘Leave’ tab and scroll down and click on the ‘Previous Leaves’ button.

Step 3: Find the leave you want to cancel and swipe left to delete this leave request.

Step 4: A notification will appear asking for confirmation to cancel the leave. Click on ‘Ok’, and the leave will be cancelled.

Note: You cannot cancel the leave if the payroll is processed for the month.
