What is Data Wizard?

The Data Wizard is a tool that helps users set up and extract reports based on their preferences. Users can apply filters and settings to generate reports exactly how they need them.

What is the Setting Transfer Feature?

Sometimes, different users in different companies need the same report settings to save time and effort. Instead of setting everything up again, the Setting Transfer feature allows you to copy existing settings from one user in a company to another user in a different company.

This ensures consistency and makes it easier for teams to work with reports in multiple companies.

Understanding the Data Wizard Setting Transfer Screen

The image shows the ‘Data Wizard Setting Transfer’ screen, which allows users to transfer report settings from one user to another across different companies.

Fields on the Screen:

  • From User – The user whose report settings will be copied.

In the example, the selected user is 'demo@pocket.com'.

  • Setting Name – The specific report setting that will be transferred.

Here, the selected setting is 'Leave Summary'.

  • To Company – The company where the settings will be copied.

In this case, the target company is 'Prajwal - First Company'.

  • To User – The user in the target company who will receive the settings.

The selected user is 'Prajwal…………@gmail.com'.

  • Transfer Button – Clicking this button will initiate the transfer process and apply the selected settings to the target user.

How to transfer data wizard settings?

Step 1: Log into the cloud portal, go to the ‘Settings’ menu and under the ‘HR’ tab click on the ‘Data Wizard Setting Transfer’ subtab.

Step 2: Select the user who has the report settings you want to transfer, from the ‘From User’ dropdown.

Step 3: From the ‘Setting Name’ dropdown, select the report setting that needs to be copied.

Step 4: From the ‘To Company dropdown’. Select the company where the settings should be transferred.

Step 5: From the ‘To User dropdown’, select the user in the target company who will receive the settings.

Step 6: Review your selections

  • From User: The user who has the settings.

  • Setting Name: The report settings to transfer.

  • To Company: The company receiving the settings.

  • To User: The recipient of the settings.

Step 7: Click the ‘Transfer’ button to finalize the process.

Path: Cloud > Settings > HR > Data Wizard Setting Transfer > select details >Transfer
